Yukon Territory highway 2 sign.
Up for sale today is this Yukon territorial highway 2 sign.  This sign is made to the exact 1960s standard that was the first signage in Yukon when the route system was devised.   The number 2 was originally assigned to the northern segment of the Klondike Highway from Carcross Cutoff to Dawson, and then further north to Keno.  As of 1978, the road ends in Dawson, as Keno is a ghost town, but has a second segment heading down to Skagway, Alaska through British Columbia.
The sign is 12 by 16 inches and weighs a solid 4 pounds, 14 ounces.
It is a high quality, heavy steel sign.  Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
