Milking Equipment
All of the major components you would need to successfully maintain a milk farm - milking cows or milking goats -  are available (except for the holding tank which was recently sold).
You can produce your very own organic, hormone free, antibiotic free, cow milk or goat milk.
You need to read this if you are interested in milking a small herd of cows or goats and looking for an excellent opportunity to set up a functioning milk parlor for PENNIES on the DOLLAR!
First of all, this milking equipment is in the Calverton, Virginia area.  My name is Gregg.  I live in Pendleton, SC; however I am selling this equipment for a friend of mine who lives on his farm in northern Virginia.  I want to clarify that so you don't think the equipment is in South Carolina.
Each component has varying years of use.  The entire operation has been sitting idle for the past 4 years and so there are no guarantees on how much life is left in any of the components, though the farmer thinks it all will run. You should, however, consider that it will not run.  The asking price reflects the fact that we are claiming no value for the Vacuum pumps.  You might get lucky, though.
The owner is wanting to clear out the milk barn so he can use it for his next project.  He would love to see the components being used by someone who is trying to get their start in milking cows or milking goats.  The parlor is set up with 25 stanchions running down each side of the barn for a total of 50.  The stanchions are mounted on a metal pipe framework.  This framework is in good shape though it is covered in surface rust.  The metal pipes are embedded in concrete.
If you are interested in setting up the stanchions to hold cows or goats, the pipes could be cut off level with the concrete and remounted by sliding them down over a smaller pipe already embedded in your concrete barn floor. Or the concrete could be broken up with a jack hammer and the pipes removed intact.  This sounds like work, but if you are a farmer you could have the pipes cut off with a Sawzall before your non-farmer friends get out of bed.  The owner is going to pour a new concrete floor after everything is removed.
The metal pipe framework also supports the vacuum tubes for the milking operation.  The milk flows in 2 inch Pyrex glass tubing from the cow all the way to the processing building.  Most of the Pyrex glass tubing is 78 inches long.  There are 11 pieces going down each side of the parlor for a total of 22 pieces plus an additional 30 feet or so of Pyrex glass tubing making the run from the end of each milking line to the processing building.  Between each piece of Pyrex tube is a Pyrex vacuum port where the milking attachment is hooked to the vacuum line.  In each of the connection points there is a gasket.  Since this unit has been sitting idle for so long, you would most likely need to replace all the gaskets before the system could pull a vacuum strong enough to milk a cow.
An Alamo Vacuum pump provides the vacuum for the milking process.  There is an additional auxiliary vacuum pump included.
The pumped milk comes first to a glass holding tank (jar).  When this jar fills up, the De Laval pump turns on and pumps the milk into a 500 gallon Mojonnier Bulk Cooling tank. (This tank is no longer available as it has been sold)

6.    4 - 90 Degree Pyrex Elbows with connection hardware
7.    3 - Lengths of stainless steel tube and fittings that will connect to the Pyrex glass tube - 17 ft, 12 ft & 9 ft.
8.    6 - Sets of milking attachments for cows - 4 milkers per set. (Goats require a different attachment with 2 milkers per set)
9.    1 - Alamo Vacuum Pump plus Auxiliary pump - Provides the vacuum for the milking process (No value - may or may not work)
10.  1 - De Laval Pump - milk first goes into glass holding tank then pumped into the bulk tank. (No value - may or may not work)
11.  1 - De Laval Glass holding tank
