Collectible coins "BELKA · STRELKA" - Silver and Tantalum coins with a denomination of 100 tenge continue the series of "SPACE" coins. The coins are timed to the 60th anniversary of the flight of the dogs Belka and Strelka from the Kazakh Baikonur cosmodrome on the Vostok spaceship. Belka and Strelka are Soviet astronaut dogs who made
the first orbital space flight
in 1960 and successfully returned to Earth.
The obverse
of the coins depicts a composition in the center, symbolizing the unity of man and the universe, as a connection between the past and the present. On the right side of the coins there are inscriptions indicating the denomination of the coins: "
100 TENGE
". At the bottom - the trademark (logo) of the Kazakhstan Mint. Along the circumference there are inscriptions “QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY” in the state language and “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN” in English.
On the reverse
of the coins in the center there is an image of Belka and Strelka in a stylized space capsule. In the upper part there is an image of a galaxy of stars, symbolizing open space. Along the circumference there are the inscriptions "BELKA" and "STRELKA" in Russian, "BELKA" and "STRELKA" in English, as well as the inscription "1960-2020" indicating the anniversary date of the event.
