    Antique Amsterdam Ave. New York City Blue Porcelain Enamel Subway Trolly Sign
    An incredible rarity! I believe that this sign dates from the late 19th or early 20th century and was displayed on the front of a Third Avenue Railway trolley. That particular company opened its Amsterdam Ave. trolley in 1885. That said, this is mere speculation on my part and anyone with more knowledge should be free to message me.
    The sign is made of thick gauge steel. Is chipped, rusted, and discolored around the edges as shown in the photos. The sign has an intentional curvature. Measures 18.25 inches x 4.5 inches.
