A very attractive 1891 CC Liberty Head Eagle gold piece graded AU 53 by PCGS. It has very mark free surfaces for the grade with extremely lustrous and attractive surfaces. These Carson City Mint gold coins have been tough for us to carry lately in our inventory and have been much harder to come by than in previous years. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This Carson City Mint date holds a total mintage of 103,732. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,333 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 168 graded About Uncirculated 53 by PCGS.
